A special cover was released by the India Post on 10.12.2006 honouring the great Vidyapati. See the ghost like smudged cancellation provided.
Is this the way to honour that great personality?
If this kind of a killer cancellation, by chance, is found out in any other country, they would have withdrawn and destroyed it before it goes out of the counter.
So long as untrained staff is appointed in the philatelic counters such things do happen.
Be satisfied with what you have. Do not raise questions. Do not expect quality cancellations. This is INDIA, going backward in Philately........
