Kulchandra Gautam, 1992 - Stamp, Brochure


Kulachandra Gautam was a scholar and great teacher of Sanskrit from Nepal.  He was Guru for three generations to the kings and family members of the royal family of Nepal. He is the editor of first ever Sanskrit-Nepali Dictionary.


Kulchandra Gautam is the recipient of honorary titles like Sāhityabhūṣaṇa, Sāhityamaṇi, and Mahākavi from various indological institutions of India. The Nepal government has honoured him with the highest title of "Vidwat Shiromani". He died in Varanasi in 1957.

Nepal issued a stamp, FDC and a brochure in his honour through the Poet Series in 1992.

*I had no opportunity to go through any of these works. Whether these are editions, or editions with Nepali translation, etc. are not known. Bibliographical notes are needed. Could anyone help?
