A wide variety of subjects ranging from Vedas, Darsanas are taught here.
On the occasion of the centenary celebration of the institution, a stamp with an FDC and brochure was released by the Department of Posts, on 24.12.2002.
On the manuscript shown on the left side of the FDC, the title of Astangasamgrahah, an Ayurvedic text, is inscribed in Devanagari.
