National Defence Academy, 1999 - Stamp, First Day Cover and Brochure


The National Defence Academy celebrated its Golden Jubilee on 19.02.199. The occasion was commemorated by release of a stamp by India Post in the denomination of 300P. It bore the insignia of the NDA.
  
सेवा परमो धर्मः
sevā paramo dharmaḥ 

is the motto adopted by NDA which has been incorporated into their insignia. This is a Sanskrit phrase meaning -- SERVICE BEFORE SELF. Its literal translation is -- "Service is the highest Duty." 

The FDC also has the insignia of NDA
