अनन्तविजयी - Anant Vijayee - Bengal Sappers Group celebrated its Silver
Jubilee on 1st January, 2006 through befitting ceremonies held at
Roorkee. The Army Postal Service commemorated the occasion by issuing a
special cover, special cancellation and a brochure.Some of the word/s -- एकता - Ekatā, सेवा - Sevā, दृढता - Dṛḍhatā and शूरवीरता - Śūravīratā -- incorporated on the First Day Cover are in Sanskrit. It is highlighted.
I am extremely delighted to find this FDC on your blogpost. This cover was designed by me for the silver jubilee celebrations of my regiment. I was the commanding officer during that period. The celebrations were held at Bareilly.
