New Definitives, 1966, 1967 - First Day Covers

First Day Covers issued for the new definitive stamps in the year 1966 and subsequent years were imprinted with the emblem of the then P & T (Postal and Telegraph) Department. The emblem has a Sanskrit quote emphasizing commitment to work -- अहर्निशं सेवामहे -- (ahar niśam sevāmahe) which means  “We serve day and night”.
