The Sanskrit College, Calcutta (Kolkata) completed its 175th year in 1999. India Post issued a stamp to commemorate the event on 25.02.1999 in the denomination of 300P. Renowned Sanskrit scholars have come out from this great institution. The brochure gives a fairly good history.
